Fellow Rotarians,
I welcome all of you to our last fellowship this month.
A lot has happened since we assumed office but it’s now common knowledge to us that as we approach the beginning of the end of our term that we need to double our efforts in order to accomplish our set targets
On Feb 25 Rtn Martin Ogang accompanied Rtn Cijay Shah from the  Rotary Club of Toronto and Rtn Narvin Parekh from the Rotary Club of West Ottawa on a visit to our project site in Barlonyo and Aloi. The team was received by Rtn Solomon Adio from the Rotary Club of Lira, our Project Manager, Alex Oruk and a representative from Awico, the Contracting Company. The delegation was well received by the representatives of the schools/institutions, Government representatives, local leaders and members of the community. In our message, we informed them that the project is about to commence. We further told them that our visitors from abroad actively participated in packaging the Grant, working with many other Clubs and donors and wished to see the site and interact with the community ahead of project commencement.
The good news is that RI has already wired the first installment of $56,015= towards this project and together with the RC of Lira will soon move to the implementation stage.
This morning  our guests visited our Rotary Hospital project accompanied by PP Serugo, Rtn Fred Kamya and Martin Ogang. As you are all aware, we are at the roofing stage which requires a little more resources at once. It’s our humble appeal to all of us to step up our usual efforts to make this a reality.
I wish you a good and productive month ahead and for those in lent, I challenge to make an effort to share all those good values associated to the season with those in your proximity.
